A definition of a consultant: "Someone who borrows your watch, tells you the time and then charges you for the privilege."

Well, we will be mindful not to do that -- it serves neither you nor us. BohTech provides IT consulting services to small companies, individuals and families. Of course, today, most people and companies have some sort of help capability, but many are disenchanted with their knowledge of the systems, and their ability to maximize the use of the technology.

Many are frustrated with information overload, viruses, and other bad stuff.

Many merely use the computer for basic tasks, afraid that trying something new will damage the machine or cause more havoc. We live in a time where waste is an anathema, whether that is company time, people's morale, productivity, or technology malfunctions.

We have an idea that people can enjoy using their technology, although if you surveyed the employees at many companies, most people would say: "NO". That it's merely a necessary evil.

However, by thoughtful acquisition, training and support, we hope to change perspectives, make the jobs more fun and rewarding, and increase productivity and returns.

goal

We want you to actually enjoy using your technology, and amaze yourself at what you can use it for.

Of course, it you love your technology and merely need some help and support, we can provide that too.

If you are asking us to consult on an IT transition, we will make sure that your business or personal needs are safeguarded through careful acquisition planning, deployment, training, and support. You can download this example of a large-scale IT transition plan -- it does give you a lot to think about.

Rather than first push you to buy technology, we prefer to learn your needs and requirements. Then we can show you products, and if you are comfortable, we can help you with acquisition, installation, support and training.

As noted on our Home Page, we do not recommend the use of Windows technology. We cannot provide assistance to Windows users, except to help them transition to Macs.

I realize that this business decision will limit selection of BohTech, but I'd rather work with forward-looking innovative companies and individuals, than merely take on every client that requests our services.
